Further evidence of how bad Australia Post is at developing software. Click and Send requires validation of postcodes before you can progress further in creating a parcel. The validation process is totally useless. If you enter the wrong postcode it generally will suggest in postcode in Darwin, whatever postcode you enter. You have entered the suburb but it makes absolutely no suggestion based on the suburb.
Lightsview is a new suburb in Adelaide created almost a year ago. If you search on the Australia Post website with “Lightsview” as the suburb you get the postcode 5085. However if you enter Lightsview as the suburb in Click and Send and then 5085 it throws an error. You need to put in an adjoining suburb to get it to work.
Fantastic software development.
